Jorge Rocha

Board member, angel investor and author of Moat Radar

A production engineer from UFRJ, with an MBA in finance from PUC-Rio and a program at Harvard Business School, Jorge Rocha spent 17 years at AB InBev, where he helped build and lead the brewer's operations across Latin America, from his first steps in Argentina to the presidency of the North Latin America business unit.

He then brought that same execution discipline, as CEO and COO, to companies in healthcare, food and fitness, always with a focus on team management, marketing and sales, distribution and the digitalization of operations. As a board member, he has served companies in transportation, technology and consumer credit, across different governance formats: family control, private-equity-backed management and publicly traded companies such as Qualicorp. He currently sits on the board of Grupo S2, and previously served as board member and CEO of JustFit, a gym chain sold to the sector leader.

An angel investor since 2012, with 28 startups in his portfolio, he is also an early investor in the AI infrastructure chain and an avid user of the technology. As a board member, his main interest today is understanding how organizations can turn AI use into real value for the customer and better results, with security and good governance. Moat Radar was born from that curiosity: a weekly effort to organize, rigorously, the most relevant signals in the AI market.
